Why is it so hard?

Okay, so my two boys have now grown out of the Thomas, Batman, Simpsons, Dragons and Harry Potter merchandisey (is that a word? LOL) doona/quilt covers.  So I tell them, no problem, mum will find you both some “teenage” type of covers that are not for kids.  Now normally, you would think, ah no problem - just head down to Kmart or Target or any store that sells the covers and you will have no worries getting something to suit.  Apparently not. Well, unless you want to get a cover that has Jim Beam all over it, or Ford or Holden or Flowers, you are not going to have much luck getting something for boys.  Why is it so hard? I look around me everywhere in the stores and there are lines and lines of pink covers with frangipanis and roses and stripes and squares and so many bloody girly covers but nothing for the boys!  Well, not in the ’single’ range anyway.  You can get some in double, queen or king so it seems that as soon as your kids are old enough to decide they no longer wants to sleep with teddy bears all over them, you need to buy a friggin double bed just so you can get a decent cover!!  I even looked on Ebay in the hope that there might be something there - even a plain one, I don’t care what it is - I’d even go with blue, red and green stripes - anything LOL but there was nothing but PINK, PINK and more PINK.  So, unfortunately the boys are stuck with Bart and Harry - at least until I can find something.
