Happy New Year
I hope 2008 brings you health, success and happiness :) I didn’t do any workouts today but I figured all the dancing I did until the early hours this morning would certainly make up for it. I never knew I’d be so good at doing the sprinkler LMAO. What a blast - we had a great night at the park but it has made me very tired today. Although I’m looking at it like it was a huge 4 hour workout LOL then I don’t feel so lazy. I don’t do resolutions - I just keep on with my goals. My first goal for 2008 is to work on cutting down at least 5% body fat. I have a double assessment booked in 3 weeks time with my trainer so until then, I’ll be staying with my current program and diet - but it will all change again. And once I reach that goal, I might start showing some pics. Will keep you posted ![]()

Being Competitive and Setting Personal Goals
I am very competitive and continually set personal goals for myself. They are only little goals, but they mean a lot to me each and every time I reach one. Simple things like running one minute faster than the last time or getting to a certain spot (while running or walking) by the end of a song. Or to be able to do something by the end of the week or month – like lifting a certain weight or running a certain distance. I love a challenge too – on the competitive side of things if someone says they don’t believe I could do something, I will try to do it and if I think it is possible, I will keep trying until I can do it. Although, most of the challenges I tackle I make for myself. I want to do bodybuilding for my own personal satisfaction and achievement. I have had people say I am too old but like I have said many times before age has no barrier if you want to achieve something. I’ve seen bodybuilders in their 60’s and they look awesome. To be told you look ripped is a huge compliment (I was told this last night by another bodybuilder – it was nice to get but personally, I don’t think I do just yet). To be fully ripped is definitely a goal I have, and I am getting there - slowly. I have been asked if I am going to compete – by my trainer and by a few more people now. The answer now is yes, I’d love to compete – that is definitely on my list of goals and I look forward to that challenge. I think being competitive and setting personal goals for yourself can be very rewarding – so long as you are realistic. So for those of you who do it, stay positive and I wish you success ![]()
