He’s getting bigger
Okay, well maybe not *hehe* but he is ‘growing up’.
Be aware he is very bossy and has little/big dog syndrome. When feeling big he is the hulk and no-one and nothing can beat him. He will growl at everything that moves outside, every noise he hears and if need be, he will tear you apart with his big sharp teeth. When feeling little again, he will stand there and shake, hold his front paw up like he is injured and stare at you with those huge ‘bulging’ eyes LOL
On a more serious note……look at him, isn’t he just an adorable ball of cuteness & cuddliness
I just wish he would learn to go to the toilet outside!

Winter Sun
Yes, we had winter sun yesterday. I rugged up and braved the cold so I can try to get a photo of my three boys together. Lets just say it was um . . . . . . . amusing LOL. After about an hour of jumping around, barking, bouncing, running, sniffing, laying down, getting up again, exploring, more sniffing, digging, scratching, tail wagging and rolling I managed to get them into the same area.
Once we were there, it took another half an hour trying to get them all to sit . . . . . .
Murphy (who has no patience at all) would not sit still. He would come and sit so nicely but as soon as I would call Spencer or Grifffin, he would get up as if to say “what about me, I’m right here remember!” and would then run off to fetch his ball to play catch LOL.

Spencer (who is much more placid but was also getting a bit fed up of coming and sitting and then having to wait for Murphy to stop bouncing and trying to get all the attention) ended up just walking off. I called him back, he turned and looked and kept walking. He is like a grumpy old man sometimes LOL.

Griffin, he didn’t have a care in the world - he was too busy exploring the backyard (again) and was happy to just run around sniffing and jumping and barking at the tractors over the back fence and tripping Murphy over while Murphy hunted for his ball to play catch.

I eventually threw all of Griffin’s puppy biscuits (that I always have in my pocket for training) on the ground and told them to fetch. It was like a frenzy of seagulls trying to get chips - I was nearly wetting myself trying to take the photos.
Anyway, these are the best I could get for the time being . . . . . Hope you enjoy them

The Flying (Chihuahua) Nun
There’s a resemblence isn’t there? It’s not just me is it? LMAOÂ
Â

I have been looking at Griffin the last few days and watching his ears slowing lifting up to where they are supposed to be and thinking to myself that he reminds me of something. Of course!! D’oh! It has taken me the last few days to work it out - It’s the flying nun! LOLÂ
Not sure how long it is going to take for his ears to finally stand up. He is still teething and his favourite knawing spot seems to be the pool table legs much to the disgust of Mr Hilton LOL.
I can’t help but say up up and away when I see him now LOL
Welcome home
Yes, we got him early. I couldn’t resist LOL. I decided that getting him on the 29th June was just too far away and I really wanted to spend a whole weekend with him before I went to work on the Monday. We picked him up at 2.30pm on Friday after a long 2 hour drive to Monica’s house. There were so many chihuahua’s there, I could have snatched them all LOL. I spotted him out straight away and after a bit of chatting, paper swapping (you know what I mean), he was rugged up in his blanket and on my knees ready for the long 2hr drive back home. He was so well behaved in the car. After the first hour he started to settle and finally fell asleep.
Shhhhh …… isn’t he gorgeous when he is sleeping ![]()

He has settled into our house really well and has met Spencer and Murphy a few times. The first time he saw them, he was showing them who the new boss was (through the glass of course) but soon realised when we opened the door that he is the pup of the family. With all three tails wagging and lots of slurpy kisses, they all made friends.
His first night was great - I was expecting him to be up all night sooking and crying for his mum, sisters and brothers but we heard NOTHING. I actually woke up once or twice and had to check him to make sure he was alright LMAO. I ended up waking him at 7.30am and he was so excited to see us!
We just need to get the toilet training under control - that’s the biggest battle so far. We have never had an indoor dog before and seem to be running after him everywhere in case he does something. There have been lots of accidents but there have also been lots of good ones too so wish us luck ![]()
Please don’t smash the glass
I took my two big beautiful boys for their daily walk today and was really disappointed by the amount of smashed glass everywhere. I had to stop at least 6 times today to make sure they didn’t walk anywhere near it and get any stuck in their paws. It’s such a shame that the kids seem to find it so amusing to do it and I really don’t understand how it can be fun
The boys loved their walk nonetheless and enjoyed seeing the ducks again by the local lake. Here’s a pic I took of them today when we got back - Spencer is the one on the left, and Murphy is the one with the big smile. Aren’t they beautiful

Say hello to Griffin
Isn’t he just adorable? Griffin is the latest addition to our family
I won’t get him for another two weeks but the breeder (Monica from Montollie Chihuahua’s) has sent me some pics today so I can share them with everyone. He is 11 weeks old at the moment and really loves a cuddle. Monica was telling me that the Chihuahua’s drop their ears down when they are teething - how cute is that? LOL He is so sweet, I can’t wait to cuddle him again. Oh, and he is one of the pups from my earlier blog post I’m so excited (he is the pup on the very left). I am going to make him his blanket today for his bed and have already been down to the sewing shop to get my supplies I’ve told Spencer and Murphy all about him and I know they are going to love him as much as we already do. Griffin is already playing with Monica’s big dogs so he should fit in very well here. I can’t wait - 15 more sleeps

I’m so excited
Today my son and I went to the Melbourne Showgrounds to go and look at some real life Chihuahua’s. It was a Toy Dog Show so we knew there would be a heap there, and I had spoken to some breeders during the week. Oh, they are just beautiful (the Chihuahua’s that is, not the breeders LOL). We went there mainly so I could look at all the different colours sizes and temperaments/personalities of the breed, and of course to meet the breeders. I met the president and secretary of the Chihuahua Club of Victoria (who are lovely ladies) and they introduced me to a few other breeders. One breeder had some puppies with her so I got to have some snuggly cuddles with them. I left my details with her as she is expecting another litter next month. So I have my fingers and toes crossed that the parents in waiting have a special little bundle for me
This is her current litter. Aren’t they just gorgeous!
