Next Assessment

Barbara on November 25th, 2007

I’ve booked my next assessment for Saturday 1st December. It will be exactly a month since my last assessment. I’ve been good and have been eating all my oats, spinach, tuna, rice, pasta, fish etc etc. My scales at home show that I’ve lost a bit more weight and body fat so it will be really interesting to see what the scales and measurements come up as at gym. I’m not too fussed on the weight side of things - just the measurements and bodyfat percentage. I tried to sneak on the scales at gym the other morning but couldn’t get them to work. Serves me right I suppose for being so impatient LOL. Adding it all up now, by the time my assessment comes around I would have ran 87.6kms over 3 weeks, trained with weights over 12 sessions and done a couple of great cycle classes. Not a bad effort hey? I know it’s going to be a long slog but I am enjoying it so much :) Wish me luck - I’ll let you all know how I go :)

Day 14 - Run, run, as fast as you can

Barbara on November 25th, 2007

Well I trained hard today - really hard. I could feel myself shake and literally had no strength left at the end of my reps. My trainer wasn’t there to see how hard I trained though but he would have been happy with what I did. I went back later for my cardio session and I ran really fast. Amazingly though, it was a comfortable run, if you know what I mean. I think I have found my tempo LOL. I made sure I downloaded a heap of good rock songs on my shuffle and just got on with what I had to do. I didn’t even get a chance to peep at the time - before I knew it, the treadmill had started to slow up for my cool-down. I’m sure I could have ran longer - but I didn’t (give me a chance - can’t do too much yet). I am getting hooked again though - I can just feel it LOL
