Day 11 - Rest more then work harder
My workout was good today, hard but good. I had to wait a few times for some of the machines but that was okay because I got to have a bit of a rest. Although, I decided that if I have a bigger rest, then I can do a harder workout. It was all worth it and I was pretty exhausted when I was finished but I felt good.
I went back to do my a run a bit later than usual and the gym was packed. Remind me never to go at that time again. I had to wait nearly 15 minutes for a treadmill – so as soon as there was one free I hogged it all to myself for the next 35 minutes – oink oink LOL. My runs seem to be getting a little easier too so I might increase the speed and see how I go ![]()

Please look after your pets
Just over the last 2 days I have seen and heard so many sad things and I really don’t understand why some people get animals. Yesterday I had to ring the council and tell them of a poor cat that had been hit that was still lying in the middle of the road. Personally I would have gotten out the car to pick it up and move it, but my experience in dealing with that is not very good. What was good was the council turned up within about 15 minutes of my call. This morning while I was at gym I saw a dog trying to keep its balance and sliding around in the back of a Ute. Now, I have no problem with having your dog in the back but tie it up. Have a bit of compassion – would you like to be thrown around the back and risk the possibility of falling out/off when the Ute goes around a corner. Then there was a dog that almost got hit by a car because the owner had been walking it off the lead and it ran towards the road to get to another dog on the other side. To top it off a friend was telling me that she had come home to find her dogs sitting at the front door. Her son’s friend didn’t close the gate properly. She is one very lucky lady. Please, be more responsible and look after your pets. Cats (and even dogs for that matter) do not have any road sense, please keep them inside or if they need to be outside, put up a cat run. Please make sure your dogs are secure in your yards, lock gates and walk your dog on a lead, not only is it safer for them but you will have more control. It really isn’t too much to ask is it?
